Countdown to Doom for DOS, released in the early 1987s, is a text-based interactive fiction (IF) game adapted from Peter Killworth’s original 1982 adventure. Set on the hostile planet Doomawangara, players have 400 time units to repair their crashed spaceship and escape before the environment or local dangers destroy them. With challenging puzzles, limited resources, and classic parser-based input, Countdown to Doom appeals to fans of old-school, brain-teasing text adventures.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse.
